First Annual Blues Fest in Victoria Park London Ontario
I decided to have our local Photo club meet for a night photo walk in London this weekend. One of the members emailed just to let us know that there is a Blues Festival going on and it might be pretty busy. We decided to keep it as scheduled and am I glad I did. The main headliner was going on stage just as we arrived. There was no charge to watch and we were at a good distance to get some decent shots of the band on stage. Now if only the rain would have stayed away a little longer. We had a window of about an hour before it started to rain fairly heavily. I started the night with my 70-200mm f2.8 lens and was able to get decent shots. I noticed though that if I wanted to crop any of them, it was getting pretty pixelated. I switched about a half hour into the shoot and mounted my 70-200mm onto my 2x teleconverter to get a little more reach. This turned out to be a very good decision. I ended up with much better clarity when cropping in closer. Below are a few of the shots I came home with.
