I&K Wedding - St.Jacobs, Ont

It truly is a priveledge and an honour to work for everyone of my wedding clients. I take pride in making sure to give them my best every step of the way. During this Covid pandemic, many couples were left stranded not only once, but even multiple times. Where they would have to reschedule all their dream wedding plans. When Lori Crewe asked me to cover as lead photographer for her clients wedding, I was floored. To be trusted with someone else’s client and brand was an extreme honour.

I was first introduced to Ian and Kelly over a zoom meeting. We discussed what the plans were for their big day and came up with the final plan. On their wedding day I met with Kelly at her getting ready location, Courtyard by Marriott, where many family members had joined in celebrating with Kelly. We were pressed for time but I was able to find a nice location out in stairwell to take some portraits before we headed to the ceremony at Conestoga Golf and Conference Centre. I have to say that Conestoga Golf and Conference Centre gave us a huge welcome and made sure that Kelly’s day went off without a hitch. They were by our side all day and evening catering to her every need, from lending us enough golf carts for the whole wedding party and giving her free reign of the course. (As long as we didn’t disrupt the golfers out for the day).

Ian and Kelly desided to go with a newer tradition of doing what’s known as a first look. They picked out a location with a gorgeous landscape and bridge behind them. I always love this tradition. It gives the bride and groom a private moment (with out all the congregations looking at them) to truly be in the moment. To have those true emotions and not hold back, to enjoy the silence and connection they have together. We then proceeded to the ceremony outside the main building and followed it up with wedding party and bride/groom photos near the back of the course.

This venue had many photo opportunities around the grounds, but I have to admit my favourite was the front of the main building. The pillars were spectacular and the architecture of the building was unreal.

I’d like to say congratulations to Ian and Kelly, as well as extend my gratitude to Ian, Kelly and Lori Crewe for trusting in me to take care of them on this special day.
