G&R Wedding - Port Stanley, Ont

One of the things I love the most about shooting Weddings, is that even during a micro two hour wedding, I feel like I’ve gained another friendship. Both the couple and their families were extremely welcoming and brought me in like one of the family.

The cottage they had rented for their wedding was located at the top of the hill in Port Stanley with a great view overlooking the Lake Erie. Utilizing the gorgeous property, they held their ceremony in the back yard with both the bride and groom parents.

Rebecca and Greg are a great couple and the love they have for each other is evident in the way they interact with each other, and especially the look in their eyes when Rebecca came down the aisle with her father.

We had lots of fun after the ceremony with family photos, a toast on the balcony and then especially the portraits down on the beach. At the time we arrived at the parking lot by Main Beach, we started to walk down toward the pier and noticed off in the distance what looked to be a terential downpour headed straight at us. We made the quick decision to head back to the car for shelter, and thank god we did. The wind picked up and the sand started to blow like we were in a desert storm. We waited it out for a bit but decided to head to Erie Rest for some beach front shots before running out of time. There was still some rain near by but we took our chances and managed to sneak a few photos in when it let up a bit.

Thankfully Rebecca and Greg are adventurous enough to tough out some rain in order to get the portraits they wanted during their big day.
